It seems that people don't want to actively "do" anything now on social media, unless it means just clicking a "like" button. I personally think that this is because of the over saturation of requests. I know that it is absurd sometimes the amount of event, vote, and fan page requests I get on a daily basis. So I am curious to know your thoughts and ideas on this. Is the over saturation of requests killing our motivation to DO SOMETHING? Blink

Melissa, there is certainly a massive amount of requests being thrown at us daily. What's concerning is the lack of personal relationship or client relationship efforts being made by the requestor. It's like getting a flyer in the mail through social media. Unless I know you or you've sent me a private message with a little more detail and the WHY behind why you're engaging me I'm unlikely to respond with your desired action.

So to sum it up. We are starting to tune it out. Social media was designed for networking and building relationships and sharing information of value through the network to improve the sum of the connections as a whole. The digital noise is now being tuned out. Build relationships, offer and give away yourself and information of value and you'll be amazed at what's returned.

Always Awesome!
